Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy that applies the principles of behavior and learning to change behavior. We apply these principles to increase some behaviors, such as communication and social skills while decreasing other behaviors that may be interfering with daily functioning.
A therapist will work with your child in the home or school setting. Goals worked on in therapy sessions are individualized based on each child's needs.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide training to parents and other caregivers on how to apply techniques used in therapy. This helps promote consistent learning and behavior change.
